    The government betrayed me: Many of the salaried controlling owners will not be entitled to the COVID-19 grants.

    Following months of protests and countless deferrals by the Tax Authority, on May 21 , 2921, salaried controlling owners will be able to register for the grants. Despite this being the case, it would appear that a vast majority of them will not be entitled to the grants according to Adv. (CPA) Racheli Guz-Lavi, partner in our Tax Department, says, explaining that “one of the threshold conditions is that the total income of the controlling owner, together with the chargeable income his or her company, will not exceed NIS 1 million for the 2018 tax year”.
