Itamar has a rich experience in representing local and international corporations in all commercial law aspects, with particular emphasis on the Hi-Tech sector, commercial agreements, and internal regulatory compliance processes concerning privacy and data security. Itamar is an expert in various data privacy and security regulatory regimes, including, the Israeli privacy law and regulations, the European GDPR, the California CCPA, the U.S. Federal HIPPA regulation applicable to the healthcare and insurance sectors in the U.S., as well as other regulatory schemes.
In recent years, Itamar has represented and accompanied a wide range of companies and organizations, continuously monitoring and ensuring they are compliant, through an in-depth analysis and implementation of corporate compliance programs. Itamar’s possesses a comprehensive and deep understanding of the clients’ activities and businesses, alongside an excellent comprehension of the interface between the legal requirements and the realms of technology, cloud systems’ architecture and development, as well as SaaS operations. Additionally, Itamar is vastly experienced in advising clients in audit and inspection processes instigated by the Privacy Protection Authority, and successfully assists them in sailing through such audits and addressing any findings.

- Advising the Fattal, Crown Plaza and Tamaes hotel chains in meeting the GDPR rules and privacy protection regulations;
- Auditing and advising the European subsidiaries of Shikun & Binui in Poland, Czech Republic and Romania in meeting the GDPR requirements;
- Advising and assisting med-tech companies in meeting and implementing the U.S. Federal HIPPA regulations and other regulatory requirements, including assistance with product development and security by design and by default as part of its products as well as ongoing conduct (including clinical trials in both Europe and the US);
- Advising large infrastructure companies, pharmaceutical companies, local authorities, insurance agencies and more in audits instigated by the Privacy Protection Authority and/or in response to data security incidents or leaks.
- Ongoingly accompanying of companies as their data security officer (DPO) under the GDPR and the Israeli Privacy Protection Law.
- As part of Itamar’s desire to provide his clients with full and comprehensive services covering the junction of law and technology, Itamar was certified by The Standards Institution of Israel as authorized to implement the data security standard ISO 27001:2013.
