Adv. Ehud Rinat is a Counsel at Amit, Pollak, Matalon & Co., and heads the firm’s Municipal Taxation Practice.
Following his legal studies, Ehud interned at the law firm of Adv. Dan Avi-Itzhak in Jerusalem.
For more than twenty years Ehud was a partner at Igal Rinat & Co., where he headed the Municipal Taxation practice.
Over the years, Ehud gained significant experience in representing hundreds of businesses. Among his clients are wholesale and supermarket chains with hundreds of branches, hi-tech companies, service providers, software companies, video and film studios, factories, contractors, real estate management companies, importers, commerce businesses and many others.
Ehud represents tax payers vis-à-vis local and municipal authorities across Israel and before all court instances, including before municipal rates’ appellate committees, administrative courts and the Supreme Court, on all matters pertaining to municipal taxation, including appeals on ongoing charges, restitution claims and administrative petitions against collection proceedings.
Under his name are several legal precedents in the realm of municipal rates and taxes, including, among others:
- A.A.P.M 1676-15 Broadcast Video S.B. Ltd. vs. Tel Aviv- Jaffa Municipal Rates Administration – the court ruling in the case set a precedent in the post production activity in TV and cinema film and video editing studios, stipulating the general tests for recognition of the activity as manufacturing activity for the purpose of the fixing of municipal rates.
- A.A. (Tel Aviv-Jaffa) 45786-05-17 A. Dori Construction Ltd. vs. Tel Aviv- Jaffa Municipal Rates Administration – the court ruling in the case set a precedent in relation to charging municipal rates on containers located on construction sites.
Ehud served in the IDF’s Golani Brigade, and was honorably discharged with the rank of Major. Ehud is first and foremost a family man, a sports fan practicing cross-fit, a lover of reading, travelling, music and podcasts, specifically history and science podcasts.
